She was predeceased by: her parents, Pauline Goodson Benton and Robert M. Benton of Stanley; and her siblings, Robert D. Benson, Gayle Brunson, Oscar Benson Sr. and Rev. Leroy Benton.

She is survived by: her daughter Regina Dixon Buford (Kendall); her grandchildren, Spencer Alfonso Dixon Jr. (Rhonda), Terrance Dixon, Jermaine McCain (Brenda), Jerome McCain, Laroar Dixon (Briteny) of Spencer Dixon, III. and Hydeia Buford; and her brothers, Rev. Larry Benton and Thaddus Benton. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
