It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Wooten of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on October 30, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Matthews and Rhoda Matthews; her husband Herman Wooten; her sons, Richard Matthews, Eddie Matthews and Walter "Stevie" Wooten; and her siblings, Lois Matthews, Betty Matthews, Kitty Worley, Lazelle Sampson, Donna Worley, Harry Matthews, Homer Matthews and Carroll Matthews.
She is survived by: her children, Sherry Robinson (Sammy), Arnold Wooten (Cindy), Kelly Wooten (Kathy) and Dwight Wooten; and her sisters, Dorothy "Dot" Huffman of Canton and Judy Hipps of Canton. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren.
