We bid farewell to Michael Dale Rink of Hickory, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 19, 2025 at the age of 76. Michael touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Michael may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Michael touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Earl Rink and Margaret Miller Rink. He is survived by: his wife Pamela W. Rink; his sons, Michael Rink, Jr. of Hickory and Jonathan Rink (Melissa) of Hickory; his granddaughter Indy Harper Rink of Hickory; his sister Judy Laws of Hickory; his nephew Chris Laws (Emily) of Wilkesboro; and his pet Coco.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bass-Smith Funeral Home & Crematory (334 2nd St NW, Hickory, NC 28601). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bass-Smith Funeral Home Chapel (334 2nd St NW, Hickory, NC 28601).
