We are sad to announce that on March 21, 2022, at the age of 72, Nell Abernathy of Hickory, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry and Minnie Crotts Bivens; and her sister Denise Whitener. She is survived by: her husband Neill Abernathy; her children, Neill Abernathy Jr. (Kelly), Diana Cline (Andy) and Tenessa Jourdan (Bryan); her grandchildren, Jennifer Little, Michaela Stamey, Laura Abernathy, Jonathan Abernathy, Seth Cline, Anna-Marie Cline, Luke Cline, Hayden Jourdan and Silas Jourdan; her great grandchildren, Bryson Little and Natalie Little; her siblings, Mary Winters (Charles), Diane Propst (Mickey) and Dennis Bivens (Linda); and her brother-in-law Tim Whitener.
