We are sad to announce that, on September 29, 2023, at the age of 80, Norma Sue Johnson of Hickory, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Merlin Bumgarner and Ola Killian Bumgarner; her husband Billy Ray Johnson; and her siblings, Wayne Bumgarner and Sandy Bumgarner.

She is survived by: her sister Linda Sigmon; her children, Scott Johnson (Candace) and Lisa McCaslin (Roger); and her grandchildren, Jordan Johnson (Rebecca), Amanda McCloy (Stephen), Katie Logan (Brewer), Emma Johnson, Brittany Huffman (Nick) and Chesney McCaslin. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Highland Baptist Church in Sue's name.
