He is survived by: his children, Tony Lunsford of Arizona, Dana Lunsford of Valdese, Jeremy Lunsford of Valdese and Paul Lunsford of Hickory; his sisters, Wanda Setzer and Geraldine Abernethy; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Cosenza of Fayetteville, Kaiya Lunsford of Valdese, Aden Lunsford of Valdese, Amber Lunsford of Morganton and Anthony Lunsford of Morganton.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mackie Funeral Service (35 Duke St, Granite Falls, NC 28630).
