He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Thompson Canipe Sr. and Bessie Berryhill Canipe; and his sister Ethel Gross. He is survived by: his wife Renay Punch Canipe; his daughter Brooke Ross (Roy) of Conway, SC; his grandchildren, Bryce Ross and Lily Ross; and his siblings, Elizabeth Mathis, Carrie Vanhorn, Patricia Brown, Brenda Tarchala and Carroll Canipe.
