With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Paula Cooke Hammer (Hickory, North Carolina), who passed away on September 10, 2022 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Paul Cooke; and her husband Cyril Hammer, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Lori H Sykes (Gerald) of Winston Salem, NC and Amy Hammer-Scronce (Tracy) of Newton, NC.; her grandsons, Jordan Sykes, Austin Sykes of Charlotte, NC and Tyler Scronce of Newton, NC.; her siblings, Ronald Cooke (Michael Prewitt) and Priscilla Golas; and her brother-in-law Jerry Hammer (Betty). She is also survived by two nieces, and two grand nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Viewmont Baptist Church Children's Ministry or Carolina Caring of Catawba County.
