She is survived by: her daughter Debbie; her son-in-law Van Seabock; her daughter Susan; her son-in-law Mark Colbert; her grandchildren, April Colbert and David Colbert; and her great grandchildren, Grey Colbert, Eden and Esther Colbert.

Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hickory Funeral Home (1031 11th Ave Blvd SE, Hickory, NC 28602). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to the Disabled American Veterans.

“Throughout my childhood I became friends with Susan and Debbie and spent alot of time at their house. Their Mom Peggy was always very nice to me and welcomed me with open arms. I have seen her several times over the years and she has always showed that she cared about me. She was special to me and I will miss her, but just knowing I will see her again someday makes me okay with her passing. I know it is and will be hard for the family, and my thoughts and prayers are with them all.”
