She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Jerome Williams and Annie Mae Williams; her husband James Melford Gaither, Sr.; and her sister Jo Lynn Driggers. She is survived by: her children, Balinda Deitz (Steve) of Hickory and Ronald McLendon (Vangie) of Morganton; and her grandchildren, David Deitz, Niki Deitz Long and Christian McLendon. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
