She was predeceased by: her parents, Perry Gordon and Addie Lee Whitener Fisher; her husband James "Jim" Colon Burns; her daughter Ramona Gayle Frye (Toney); and her siblings, Dolly Hawn, Jamie Bumgarner, Vada Yoder, Ralph Fisher and Clyde "Sonny" Fisher.
She is survived by: her son James Colon Burns II (Kim) of Hickory; her siblings, Becky Estes of Hickory, Ruth Gaston of Cherryville and Ray Fisher of Newton; her grandchildren, James Colon Burns III of Winston-Salem, Jacob Burns (Kelly) of Hinesville, GA, Joshua Burns of Hickory, Anthony Frye (Wendy) of Claremont, James Frye of Savannah, GA and Kris Frye (Ariene) of Burlington; her great grandchildren, Elijah Kol Coffey of Hinesville and James Frye Jr. of Savannah Ga; and her siblings-in-law, Francis Fisher of Hickory, Phyllis Yost (Bill) of Granite Falls, Ramona Sanders of Shelby and Joel Burns (Donna) of Hildebran. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
