She was predeceased by: her father Lawrence Oxford. She is survived by: her mother Ethel Oxford; her husband David Leeper; her son Christopher Leeper; her siblings, Sherry Lund (Bryan) and Larry Oxford (Stephanie); her nieces, Katy Fiero (Sam), Laura Lund, Sylvia and Miranda Sargent; and her nephew Adam Lund (Stefanie).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Bass-Smith Funeral Home - Jack Bass Memorial Building (334 2nd St NW, Hickory, NC 28601).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hickory High School Marching Band Boosters Club. Keep Rene's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
