He was predeceased by: his parents, John Richmond Turner and Queen Esther Reid Turner; his grandson Jamaal Xavier Turner; and his siblings, Lonnie T. Springs, Arlene T. Phillips, Eunice A. Turner, Alberta T. Burton, John W. Turner, Clifton Turner and Nelson Turner.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rosslyn T. Berry Columbia (Frank), Mary Ann Patterson (Reginald) of Stony Point, NC and Ericia Turner of Sherrills Ford, NC.; and his grandchildren, Justin Simpson (Rasheedah), Dontraye Wilson, Jonquilla Wilson, Sarena Berry, Jerron Turner and Trevion Graham. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church (416 2nd Ave SE, Hickory, NC 28602).
