He is survived by: his wife Evie Rector; his daughters, Grace Anne Rector and Jenna Reed (Wayne Reese) of Boone; his uncle Bob (Peggy Jolley) of Catawba; his grandchildren, Faith Buchanan, Caroline Reed, Wyatt and Waylon Rector; and his close friend Doug Miller (Debbie).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home (4081 Startown Rd, Newton, NC 28658).
