With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rickey Bobo (Hickory, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 20, 2025 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Rickey may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Bobo and Geraldine Geter Bobo; and his brother Michael Bobo. He is survived by: his wife Agnes Shuford Bobo; his children, Kedrick Carr of Albermarle, NC, Ke-Juan Shuford of Franklinville, NC, Li-Santa Shuford of Mt. Gilead, NC and Rickey Bobo of Mt. Gilead, NC; and his siblings, Michael Smith (Angela) of Albermarle, NC, Marion Bobo (Linda) of Hickory, NC, Betty Bobo of San Antonio and Ronald Bobo of Oxen Hill, MD. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Morningstar First Baptist Church (126 4th Ave SW, Hickory, NC 28602). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Morning Star First Baptist Church (126 4th Ave SW, Hickory, NC 28602).
