He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey "Bud" Bowman and Margaret "Carolyn" Carpenter Bowman. He is survived by: his daughter Jessica Bowman Petree of Hickory; his grandsons, Liam and Javin; his close friend Ramona Frye Hurst; and his extended family, Susan Bowman, David Lowman, Tim and Stephanie Dishman.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Winkler's Grove Baptist Church (3320 9th Ave Dr NW, Hickory, NC 28601). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to American Lung AssociationDonation Processing Center.
