He is survived by: his wife Kathy Harris Kirby; his children, Nicholas Dustin Kirby (Jessi) of Taylorsville, NC and Tara Kirby Rucker (Brian) of Charleston, SC; his siblings, Alice Kirby of Hickory, NC, Dan Kirby (Judy) of Love Valley, NC, Wayne Kirby (Janie) of Hickory, NC and Noel Kirby (Donna) of Hickory, NC; his grandchildren, Tate Kirby, Autumn Kirby and Anderson Rucker; and his siblings-in-law, Rick Harris (Pam) of Morganton, NC and Sandy Sparks of Tennessee. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
