He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Prestwood and Francis Prestwood; and his wife Barbara Edwards Prestwood (Bobbie). He is survived by: his brothers, Jerry Prestwood (Linda) of Belmont, NC and Nolan Prestwood (Susan) of Charleston, SC; his niece Amy Wood; and his nephew Garrison Prestwood.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens (1545 Orchard Dr, Lenoir, NC 28645).
