He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Johnson and Ella Johnson; his wife Sydney Johnson; his son Timothy Johnson; and his sister Clara Evelyn Parris.
He is survived by: his son Jerry Johnson (Cathy); his daughter-in-law Cindy Johnson; his daughter Laura McRee (Jeff); his grandchildren, Eric Johnson (Amber), Patrick Johnson (Rachel), Hayes Johnson (Missy), Neil Johnson (Lauren), Cody McRee, Casey Efird (Joel), Caroline Bergy (Brett), Claire and Halle Johnson; and his great grandchildren, Pierson Johnson, Joel Efird, III, Brooklynn Efird, Kaden Johnson, Caitlin Johnson, Carter Johnson and Rory Johnson.
