She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Dale and Lillian Ruth Payne Hatley; her husband Ronnie Owens; her children, Lisa Owens and Ricky Owens; and her siblings, Elizabeth Dellinger, Mark Hatley and Edward Hatley.

She is survived by: her children, Melissa Starnes (Shannon) of Taylorsville, Monica Helton (Daniel) of Catawba and Ronnie Eric Owens; her siblings, Jannet Presnell (Randel) of Vilas, Rebecca Rinck of Hickory, Larry Hatley of Hickory, Jerry Hatley of Hickory, Gary Hatley (Martha) of Taylorsville and Ray Hatley (Norma) of Vilas; and her daughters, Tiffany Boston and Misty Coone. She is also survived by four grandchildren; one great grandchild.
