It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy Thomas Stewart of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on April 5, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Spurgon Stewart and Annie Helms Stewart; and his brothers, Everett and Bob Stewart. He is survived by : his daughters, Tammy Brewer (Jerry) and Cindy Patterson (Eric); his grandchildren, Curtis Lafone, Shay Lafone, Justin Lafone (Candice) and Kiara Shuford; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Evan, Bella, Ivory, Nia, Lily and Bentley; and his siblings, Nancy Witherspoon (Jeff), Margaret Herman, Linda Lovelace, Irene Daves, Rosie Stewart, Dale Stewart (Debbie), Tex Stewart and Johnny Stewart (Martha). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
