It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Elizabeth Brown Taylor Wyly of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on April 4, 2026, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nellie Sue Meadows Brown and Zeb Wesley Brown; her husbands, Ralph Edward Taylor and Robert Wyly of Andrew's Lutheran Church; her son Mark Taylor, Sr.; her stepson Gerald Wyly; and her siblings, John Wesley Brown and Irene Brown Leonard.

She is survived by: her daughter Melanie; her son-in-law Larry Garver of Virgina; her grandchildren, Nicholas Garver, Heather Garver and Mark Taylor, Jr.; her granddaughter-in-law Elizabeth; her grandson Christopher Taylor; her grandchild-in-law Shauntavia of Florida; and her stepchildren, Elvin Wyly (Jatinder), Camille (David Parker) and Vernon Wyly. She is also survived by three great grandsons and two great granddaughters and a number of nieces and nephews and cousins.
