We are sad to announce that on July 11, 2022, at the age of 92, Ruth Marie Simpson of Hickory, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Archie Charles Simpson; and her parents, Gray McGee and Garnet May McGee of Madison, NC.. She is survived by: her children, Brenda Simpson Birney (Reed Birney) of Williamsburg, VA, Steven Lee Simpson (Sandra Hampton Simpson) of Lincolnton, NC and Dawn R. Simpson; her grandchildren, Lauren Birney Gray of Richmond, VA and Scott Reed Birney of Danville, VA; and her children, Sheena Simpson Kiser of Lincolnton, NC and Sawyer Simpson of Lincolnton, NC. She is also survived by three great grandchildren.
