She was predeceased by : her parents, Thaddeus Gilbert and Beryl Woodall Babb; her husband Kenneth; and her grandson David Farver. She is survived by : her children, Karen Bennett (Andy Brinkley) of Hickory and C. Ronald Farver (Pam) of Newry, SC; her grandchildren, Dana Peissel of Hickory, Dawn Bennett of Atlanta, GA, Bethany Miller (Patrick) of Muncie, IN and Katie Hedrick of Muncie, IN; her great grandchildren, Julien Peissel, Bennett Tretsch, Ben Miller and Sarah Miller; and her caregivers, Vicki and Laura.

Memorials may be made to Carolina Caring in Sarah's name.
