The memory of Sherry Delight (McCall) Eckard of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on May 16, 2026 at the age of 82, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Forest McCall and Eva Leonhardt Plemmons of Morganton; her brother Harry Plemmons Jr.; her stepfather Harry Plemmons Sr.; and her stepson Michael Eckard.

She is survived by: her husband David Eckard; her daughter Wendy Wagner (Charlie); her siblings, Eric Plemmons (Leslie) and Brenda McCall Anderson (John); and her stepchildren, Will Eckard (Spencer) and Marcella Eckard. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
