It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Jeanette Lingle of Hickory, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on March 20, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Charles Hicks; her husband Lloyd Lingle; and her brother Gary Murphy. She is survived by: her daughter Lori Austin (Allen) of Maiden; her granddaughter Ashley Penland (Mike) of Hildebran; her great grandchildren, Gwen Shuford (Isaac), Logan Coffey and Tallulah Penland; and her sister Sandra Calvert of Spartanburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Medi Home Care at 2948 S. NC HWY 127, Hickory, NC 28602.
