He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Allen Shepherd, Sr. and Iris Priscilla Icard Shepherd; and his siblings, Bob Shepherd and Dana Pelfrey. He is survived by: his children, Steven Icard, Jr. of Hickory, Isaiah Icard of Hickory and Kisha Icard of Hickory.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
