With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stuart Thompson of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on February 18, 2026 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emerson Thompson and Grace Thompson; and his brother Emerson M. Thompson Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Thompson; his sister Betty Baldwin; his sister-in-law Catherine Thompson; and his grandchildren, Lane Ryan, Cecilia Thompson, Will Ryan, Kyle Elmore, Emma Petticrew (Co-De), Ursula Williams, Edward Elmore, Nia Harris, Ada Elmore, Naomi Harris and Tori Sims. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
