She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Wilkie and Bertha Wilkie; her husband Ernest "Buck" Hinson; her son Douglas Bailey; and her siblings, Shelby Stilwell and Norman Wilkie.

She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth "Libby" Wilkie Workman (David) of Vale, Gregory Todd Bailey (Debbie) of Icard and Ernest Lee Hinson (Cheryl) of Hickory; her grandchildren, Heather Bailey, Jessica Hinson, Sophie Hinson, David Workman Jr. (Tia) of Vale and Greg Bailey (Kari) of Hickory; and her sister Tyma Kilgore of Hickory. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
