She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Roscoe Williams and Rose Elmina Williams; her husband Jay C. Smith; her stepdaughter Robin Smith; and her siblings, Eskridge Williams, Merrell Williams, Marvin Williams Jr. and Bernice Williams.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Pamela Smith (Reggie) of Newton, Stephen Smith (Billi) of Conover and Jeffrey Smith (Norma) of Morganton; and her pet Sam. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Plateau United Methodist Church.
