She was predeceased by: her parents, Gaines Shipman and Ruby Pearson Shipman. She is survived by: her children, David Ivey, Craig Ivey and Angela Ivey; her sister Janice Adams; her grandchildren, Andrea Williams, Jeremy Greer, Josh Ivey, Courtney Jones, Tanner Ivey and Adam Ivey; and her great grandchildren, Khloe Williams, Aubrey Greer, Waylon Greer, Kobe Lail, Kaylen Jones, Rowan Jones and Emily Jones.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Medi Home Health and Hospice, 180 West Main St, Taylorsville, NC 28681.
