As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Thelma may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ervin Lee Schronce and Virginia Brooks Schronce; and her husband Jerry Donald Hefner. She is survived by: her sons, Allen Hefner (Lisa) of Hiddenite and Scott Hefner of Hickory; and her sisters, Shirley McDaniels, Geraldine Anthony and Dorthy.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens (3120 Falling Creek Rd, Hickory, NC 28601).
