He was predeceased by: his father William "Bill" Alfred Wilkinson; his grandparents, Willard "Fim", Virgalene Lee, Marshall and Virginia Wilkinson; his aunts and uncles, Renee Lee Martin, Betty Harril, Ricky Wilkinson, Calvin Wilkinson and Tommy Wilkinson; his great-uncles, Smith Lee, Darrell Lee of Bud Lee, Carroll Lee and Wilford "Fat" Lee; and his great-aunt Dot Lineberger.

He is survived by: his mother Phyllis Lee Wilkinson of Hickory; his daughter Deana R. Wilkinson of Catawba; his grandson Cassius Wilkinson of Catawba; his brother Kenneth D. Wilkinson of Hickory; his nephew Trevor Martin of Hickory; his great-nephew Chris Humphries of Sherrills Ford; his uncles, Gary "Butch" Lee (Cindy) of Maiden, Adrian Wilkinson of Gastonia, James Wilkinson of Charlotte and Marshall "Junior" Wilkinson of Iron Station; and his aunt Pat Roseman of Charlotte.
