Verna McNiel McCall Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Verna McNiel McCall of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on December 6, 2021 at the age of 97. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Verna McNiel McCall to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Roscoe B. McNiel and Maude Friesland McNiel; her husband John H. McCall, Jr.; and her siblings, Tommy McNiel, Jim McNiel and Elzena Blackburn.

She is survived by: her daughters, Carol McCall Coffey (Randy) of Hickory and Betty McCall Larrabee (Mark) of Collettsville; her granddaughters, Amanda Coffey Clarke (Adam) of Wellford, SC and Caroline Helton of Apex, NC; her great grandchildren, Alexander, Andrew, Amelia and Alden Clarke; and her siblings, Dare Duncan, Nelia Winters, Odell McNiel and Curt McNiel. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Interment will be private for family members at Dudley Shoals Baptist Church at a later date, beside Verna's beloved husband, John. Due to COVID-19 face masks and social distancing will be required.
