With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Veronica Hill of Hickory, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Veronica left this world on June 3, 2025 at the age of 59, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Veronica is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Veronica's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her mother Beatrice Hill Lackey; and her brother Michael Lackey. She is survived by: her fiancé Tony Clark of Conover; her siblings, Eugenia Shinn of Hickory, Pam Lackey of Columbia, SC, Janice Bailey (Greg) of Taylorsville and William Lackey of Columbia, SC; her uncle Junior Hill (Linda) of Taylorsville; and her sister Marvella Hunt of Hickory. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Mt. Pisgah AME Church (9379 NC-127, Hickory, NC 28601). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
