She was predeceased by: her parents, John Fred and Minnie Bell Arrowood Wright; her husband Ervin Herman; and her daughter Lela Moore. She is survived by: her children, Carmella Helton (Jim), Cathy Campbell (Berry), Robert Helton, Chris Helton (Kelly) and Paul Helton (Tina); and her stepson Eric Herman. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Catawba Funeral Home (3060 US Hwy 70 SE, Hickory, NC 28602). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Catawba Funeral Home Chapel (3060 US Hwy 70 SE, Hickory, NC 28602). A burial will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at the Final Resting Place Catawba Memorial Park (3010 US Hwy 70 SE, Hickory, NC 28602).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church at 2160 35th Ave Dr NE, Hickory, NC 28601 in Virginia's name.
