She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Summey Detter and Geneva Bess Darty; and her husband Arthur William Brittain. She is survived by: her daughter Bobbie Brittain Starnes (Allen Crowe). She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fairview Cemetery (1741 9th St NW, Hickory, NC 28601).
