Wetonia Bowman Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 4, 2025, at the age of 87, Wetonia Bowman of Hickory, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Wetonia is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Wetonia's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her mother Estelle Stamey Carswell; her husband Charles Franklin Bowman; and her son Ricky Alan Bowman. She is survived by: her son Dennis Bowman; and her siblings, Gaynell Simons of Hickory and Edward Pete Carswell of Valdese. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Hickory Funeral Home (1031 11th Ave Blvd SE, Hickory, NC 28602).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Highland United Methodist Church of Hickory.
