He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper H. Jones and Martha Davis Jones; and his siblings, Elizabeth Teague, Clarence Davis and Paul Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Ethel Hand Jones; his sons, Roger Jones (Karen) of Hickory, Ronnie Jones (Robin) of Taylorsville and Kim Doug Jones (Beth) of Taylorsville; and his grandchildren, Candace Bolick (Andrew), Logan Jones (Brandi), Adam Jones (Stacey) and Bradley Jones (Lindsay). He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
