With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Marsh Stoss Jr. (Hickory, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 14, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Marsh Stoss, Sr. and Ruth Fladd Stoss; his siblings, Katherine Williams (Edward), Charlotte Stoss and Timothy Stoss; and his children-in-law, Tammie Stoss and Terry Stanberry.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Blackwell Stoss; his children, Lee Stoss (Cynthia) and Mel Stoss Stanberry; his stepdaughter Suzanne Storie (Jarrett); his goddaughter Karen Thomas (Darrel); his grandchildren, Marilyn Stoss Coleman (Kelyn II), Anthony Gosnell (Tiffanie), Cody Stoss, Zaylee Stoss, Rebecca Jones (Nic), Matthew Storie (Rei) and Adam Storie (Stacey); and his great grandchildren, Gavin Stoss, Kelyn "Bean" Coleman III, Neveah Gosnell, Presley Emory, Leah Storie and Ruby Storie. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Amorem Hospice of Hudson, NC in Bill's name.
