He is survived by: his children, Tristan Lamar Smith of Hildebran, NC and Kayla Marie Smith of Taylorsville, NC; his stepdaughter Alyssa Renae Cates; his stepson-in-law Andrew Cates of Granite Falls, NC; and his stepson Dylan. He is also survived by his children and two precious dogs.
