With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Zelda (Swofford) McGee (Hickory, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 21, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Blanche Harrison and Garrett Hobart "Hub" Swofford; her brother Albert Swofford; her former husband John "Babe" Ogle; and her husband Danny McGee.
She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah Hicks (Bob) of North Cove, Pam Miller (Doug) of Spruce Pine, Dana Haynes (Skip) of Morganton and Donna McGee of Granite Falls; her grandchildren, Starla Baldwin, Bridget Miller, Mark Miller (Leah), Landon Haynes (Leah), Rosemary Pinkerton (Witt) and CJ McGee; and her siblings, Joe Swafford (Sue), Ed Swofford, Wanda Helton (Richard) and Dr. Cheryl Swofford. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
