She was predeceased by : her parents, W. R. "Cricket" Stikeleather and Minnie Estelle Pennell Stikeleather; her husband Charlie Perry Mitchell; her daughter Laura Mitchell Gillispie; her siblings, Ethel Stikeleather, Wilma S. Stewart and Harold Stikeleather; and her nephew Randy Stikeleather.

She is survived by : her son-in-law Doug Gillispie of Hiddenite; her brother Paul Stikeleather (Gladys) of Hiddenite; and her niece Meletia Wike (Gilbert) of Taylorsville.
