With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lynn Connolly Gwaltney of Hiddenite, North Carolina, born in Alexander, North Carolina, who passed away on December 27, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Lex Gwaltney and Rosa Lee Bunton Gwaltney; and his siblings, Dale Gwaltney, Bobby Gwaltney, Mary Tilley and Lexine Elliott.
He is survived by : his wife Paulette Matheson Gwaltney; his daughters, Deidra Gilley (Keith) of Southport, NC, Natalie Hayes (Clay) of Granite Falls and Melanie Williams (Phillip) of Hiddenite; his grandchildren, Amelia Gilley, Hayden, Bo Hayes, Logan and Karsyn Williams; and his siblings, Carol Bumgarner (Lindsey) of Taylorsville, W. D. Gwaltney (Mary) of Statesville, Gale Gwaltney (Dianne) of Hiddenite, Glynn Gwaltney of Hiddenite and Jack Gwaltney (Merilee) of Hiddenite. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
