She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Branton and Jettie Miller Branton; her husband James "Jim" Rupard; and her brother-in-law Rev. Henry Cook. She is survived by: her son Mike Head (Kelly) of Taylorsville; her sister Kay Cook of Hiddenite; her stepgrandchildren, Mikhayla Sipe (Will) and Nathan Pope; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Sammy Sipe and Rayleigh Sipe; her stepgranddaughter Emilee Stevens; her stepdaughters, Charmon Gwaltney and Chasta Shumaker (Gene); her stepgrandchildren, Solomon, Issacc Shumaker and Taylor Lawter; her nephews, Mark and Steven Cook; her niece Allison Bolick (Toby); her sisters-in-law, Opal and Ann Rupard; and her close friends, Carolyn Gantt, Michelle (Lynn), Ty, Lucas Anderson, Linda Babb, Mindy Ostwalt and Kathleen Prevette.
