It is with sadness that the passing of Peggy Tevepaugh Johnson (Hiddenite, North Carolina) is shared. Peggy, born on March 26, 1940, passed away on October 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, David "Glenn" Tevepaugh and Zula Bowles Tevepaugh; her husband William "Tommy" Johnson; her sons, William Glenn Johnson and Ricky Southard; her siblings, Judy T. James, Margaret T. Watts and Gary Elder; and her granddaughter Kendra Harrington.
She is survived by: her children, Marty Johnson (Denise), Roger Johnson (Lisa) and Gail Harrington (Ken); her brother David Tevepaugh (Wanda); her daughter-in-law Diane Southard (Mark Sharpe); her grandchildren, Garrett Harrington, Kristie Turner (Daniel), Megan Johnson, Will Johnson, Darlene Spencer, Nancy Childers and Linda Childers; Beverly. She is also survived by five nieces and one nephew.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:45 PM at the Mt. Wesley Wesleyan Church (403 Mt Wesley Church Rd, Hiddenite, NC 28636). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at the Taylorsville City Cemetery (537 1st Ave Dr SE, Taylorsville, NC 28681).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mt. Westley Wesleyan Church Building Fund at 403 Mount Wesley Church Road, Hiddenite, NC 28636.
