With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Renn Junior Lackey of Hiddenite, North Carolina, who passed away on July 25, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Renn Lackey and Mattie Parker Lackey; his siblings, Willie Mae Wyatt, Hazel Connley, Edna Bunton, Guy Lackey, JC Lackey and Carlton Lackey; and his grandson Richard Paul Tabler.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Sue Barnes Lackey; his sister Joann Keever of Mooresville, NC; and his children, Ronnie LaShaw (Karon) of Wilmington, NC, Donnie Lackey (Karen) of Hiddenite, NC, Garry Lackey (Crystal) of Hickory, NC and Sandra Tabler (Richard) of Mooresville, NC. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Home (307 Main Ave Dr, Taylorsville, NC 28681). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Salem Lutheran Church (4005 NC-16, Taylorsville, NC 28681).
