He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Commodore and Mary Lou Davis Smith of Hiddenite, N. C.; his siblings, Clara Smith, Mary Neil Smith, James Leroy "Bill" Smith, Javis Smith and John Paul Smith; and his niece Cathy Smith.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ken Smith and Sylvia Flowers; and his niece Kathleen Odom.
