In loving memory of Vickie Lackey of Hiddenite, North Carolina, who departed this world on December 10, 2025 at the age of 74. Vickie leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sue Clayton Edwards and John Woodrow Edwards; and her brothers, Woody Edwards and Graham Edwards. She is survived by: her husband Byron Lackey; her stepchildren, Ashlee Lackey Patterson (Nathan) of Taylorsville, Shaun Lackey (Kari) of Hiddenite, Wesley Lackey (Courtney) of Taylorsville and Kyle Lackey (Kendra) of Hiddenite; her grandchildren, Colt, Crew, Elle Lackey, Kyler, Kenden, Konnor Lackey, Mason Childers, Laney Patterson and Emberlyn Patterson; her sister-in-law Brenda Edwards; and her nieces, Amy Herron and Woodeane Edwards. She is also survived by other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tabernacle Baptist Church -Stony Point (40 State Rd 1558, Stony Point, NC 28678). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
