He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Spivey and Mary John Spivey. He is survived by: his children, Edward Spivey and Ellen Spivey Tambor; and his son-in-law Joshua Tambor. He is also survived by four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Community Clinic of High Point.
